My Brief Career

This is one of the funniest things I have read here and is still my bar for measuring humor stories. There’s actually three of them…”My Brief Career”…”My New Career”…”My Real Estate Career”. A guy discovers he has MC powers and he decides to become an evil mind-controller, just like he reads about on the Internet, except it’s like Barney the Dinosaur trying to invent the atom bomb. The stories are tongue-in-cheek but they are actual stories. So entertaining.

Bunny Tales

I have never laughed so hard as I did- and still do- at this story. It’s one story with three chapters. All three are funny, but it’s the first chapter that reeled me in. Simon’s description of this story reads, “Bunny tries hard to do well by her Master…she really does…unfortunately, she’s insane.” Well, she is! But she’s adorable with it. Bunny “recruits” the slaves for her Master and she’s just smart enough to be dangerous. These stories are told entirely through dialogue and NanoSlaver does a superb job using nothing but. The chemistry between Master and Bunny is flawless. So well-done and laugh-out loud funny.

Time stop stories are a guilty pleasure for me, but that isn’t the appeal of this story. It’s the poetry of this piece that touches me. Okay, stop laughing. Seriously speaking, this entire tale is told through five-line limericks. The whole thing! All 2600 words! It’s an incredible exercise in discipline, and the story is just plain fun. This might not work for everybody, but I absolutely love this one.

Dramatic Saga of Peter Q. Kleeshay

Ohhhhh, this is a funny one. The author set out to use every “cliché” in the book, and he succeeds in spectacular fashion. The author is fourteen chapters into this story at the time of this writing, and he hasn’t flagged in the least. Unheard of synonyms for the naughty bits are scattered throughout each chapter, and through fourteen chapters, he hasn’t used a single one twice. “Rodzilla”, “womb warrior”, “ecstacy eel”, “little man in the pulpit”, “upside down tuna taco”, “hatchet wound”, “love bubbles”, “cock-a-saurus”, “sizzling salmon scented semen sucker”…trust me, the list goes on and on. And it’s not just the clichés. The author tells a hysterical story, and it’s actually got a plot. This story is pure entertainment.

Lisa writes so many hot stories that her humor is often overlooked. Well, it’s on full display here. A great concept story, and very original. Good characters, too. I’m an ass man, so I fully appreciate the idea behind this special store, but you don’t have to be an ass lover to enjoy this story. Very entertaining.

What a great story this one is. I am actually surprised it didn’t cause more of a fervor at the time it came out. The story is structured much like a Dr. Seuss tale, but that doesn’t make it a simple story. Do you know why Dr. Seuss is so famous? Because that style looks soooooo easy, but it’s impossible to do it right without sounding contrived. The author did it here, though, and did it so well, it made my jaw ache. This story is laugh-out-loud funny, but the tale just carries the reader right along. It’s also well-structured and clever. Despite the fairytale / Dr. Seuss ambiance, the actions aren’t random; the king has motivation for the things he does. We may not agree, but we understand why. Everything ties together at the end as well, with no less humor for all that.

It's Raining Men

Best mm story ever! Don't be intimidated by the cyan tag; there's no actual on-screen mm (well, very little, and it works for the story) and this story is absolute fun. The humor tag isn't there, but it should be.
